Tour Overview
Each May & June, Transylvania's meadows explode with wildflowers. Its Saxon region, home to ancient UNESCO fortified churches, vast oak forests and a way of life that has changed little for 800 years, is magnificent at any time of year. It's unmissable in late spring. Allow at least 5 nights to explore the area properly, a week is perfect. Our guides are true locals. With them, you'll move through meadows and forests, along horse & cart tracks, quiet backroads and paths. You'll stay and eat in local homes and beautiful manor houses, enjoy picnics on hillsides; travel at your own pace through a land of extraordinary beauty.
